Frequently Asked Questions
General FAQs
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: ROOT Wellness Hub is a private-pay practice, which means we do not bill insurance directly. Many of our clients choose to use HSA/FSA funds, and we can provide superbills you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Functional Nutrition FAQs
Q: What is functional nutrition?
A: Functional nutrition is a personalized approach to health that asks why symptoms are happening instead of only managing them. Rather than focusing on quick fixes, it examines how the body’s systems—like digestion, hormones, immune function, and the nervous system—work together. By restoring balance in the body using whole foods nutrition and supplementation when needed, functional nutrition supports lasting improvements in both physical and mental health. At ROOT Wellness Hub, our nutritionist is also a registered nurse (RN), giving her the medical expertise to understand complex health conditions while using nutrition to restore balance and resilience.
Q: Can nutrition really affect my mental health?
A: Yes. Research shows that blood sugar regulation, gut health, and nutrient deficiencies can play a major role in anxiety, depression, brain fog, and focus. With the combined knowledge of nursing and functional nutrition, our provider creates personalized strategies that support both mind and body.
Q: Do I need lab work?
A: Our nutritionist can review existing labs, recommend functional lab testing when needed, and work with you to understand how your results connect to your symptoms. Her nursing background ensures that your care plan is both safe and tailored to your needs.

We refrain from having mirrors in the room to avoid self-criticism, distraction, or self-consciousness, and our teacher always asks about your comfort level so you can maintain in control of your experience.
