Holistic Psychiatry

You want a psychiatrist who actually sees you.

Not your symptom checklist. Not a diagnosis to bill against. You — your history, your lifestyle, your relationships, your stress, your sleep, the full context of your life. You're open to medication if it makes sense, but you want to work with someone who approaches that decision with care and intention. Someone who isn't just reaching for the go-to prescription because it's the path of least resistance, and who treats you like a whole person rather than a problem to be managed.

Maybe you’ve reached out for help before and walked out feeling like something was still missing. You've sat in appointments feeling unheard or dismissed, walked out with a prescription and not much else, and wondered if anyone has actually looked at the whole picture.

That's exactly why Dr. Bradford practices differently.

Meet Dr. Henry Bradford.

Dr. Bradford trained at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine and completed his psychiatric residency at UMMS-Baystate Health, where he developed a strong foundation in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions. Early in his career, he recognized the limits of a purely traditional model — one that's often reactive, protocol-driven, and too brief to be genuinely useful to complex people living full lives. That's what led him to integrate principles from functional and naturopathic medicine into his work. He wants to understand not just your symptoms, but the system underneath them.

Before you ever walk through the door, Dr. Bradford is already doing the work. His intake process is thorough and intentional — designed to gather a full picture of who you are, what you've experienced, and what factors may be contributing to how you feel. By the time you meet, he's not starting from scratch. He's already thinking about you as a whole person.

The people he works best with are often busy professionals, students, caregivers, and high-functioning individuals who want deeper insight and a collaborative relationship with their psychiatrist. They might experience anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, or mood-related symptoms, often in overlapping or evolving ways that have never been fully clarified. Many have dealt with burnout, cognitive fatigue, or stress-related physical symptoms on top of everything else — all in the context of lives that don't slow down.

Some of them have already been in care — cycling through medications without a clear long-term strategy, or years into treatment and still feeling uncertain about what’s actually going on beneath the surface. Others are coming to psychiatry for the first time, maybe after years of pushing through on their own or quietly wanting more support but being hesitant to try medication.

Wherever you're starting from, the common thread is the same: you want care that actually meets you where you are, and a provider who looks at the full picture.
